Question / Help Frame Rate Drop When Obs Open

Hello, one of my friends ran into a problem with OBS Studio, and after 30 minutes of trying to find the issue, I decided to make a forum post here to see if any of the staff can help with this issue. He's a Minecraft YouTuber, and he's been using OBS to record his Minecraft videos for about 3 months with no problems. Then, out of nowhere, whenever he opens OBS Studio, his frames (FPS) drops from 1,400 FPS, down to 30 FPS. This happens even if he doesn't record; he tried uninstalling OBS and installing it again multiple times, and it did not help. Please help me/us resolve this issue. All help and replies are greatly appreciated!

Same. I've had this issue for over a month now, and it has limited my uploads on youtube. I decided after many days of searching for a solution, to report this on the forums. I find out that I am not the only person having this problem, apparently. What is going on with Minecraft? Overwatch runs just fine for me.
