Helping out a friend of mine with a problem (he just got OBS and wanted me to post for him since I know more). Here's what he told me:
"I tried streaming today, and the fps of the stream just hit rock bottom whenever I opened up a game, even though the ingame fps I was actually seeing was great."
Here's his log. I couldn't find anything drastically wrong, but I'm no expert: https://gist.github.com/dbebb5d7a25f8343613e
Here's the VOD. As you can see as soon as he opens up the game at the 1 minute mark the frames on the capture drop drastically: http://www.twitch.tv/betafur/v/8784287
I would say he just doesn't have enough CPU power for a screen capture, except for the fact that he runs a youtube channel which he records games with fraps and such for all the time. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
