Question / Help Frame drops always down to 20fps or so?

Recently just got an R9 280x and for some reason when I stream, my framerate is normally at around 55fps in payday 2, but every few minutes, it drops to about 20fps. I noticed that when this happens, my GPU usage decreases, and my CPU usage increases to 100%. Even in games like L4D2, I usually get about 200fps which then drops to 20 when streaming. I am befuddled... Here's my specs:
  • Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3

  • CPU: FX-8120 (3.1GHz, 8 cores)

  • GPU: r9 280x

  • PSU: 750W (Dunno what else to write for this)
Here's my most recent log:
https://gist.github.com/anonymous/fada4e3d489b712f425a
I've changed values up and down and it doesnt seem to have much effect...

Uh... is there a reason you're using 10 graphics captures, and 2 that are trying to hook PD2 specifically?

Looks like you have a TON of duplicated sources, which are making OBS freak out.

Also, drop from 60fps to 30. 2000kbps is NOT enough bitrate for 720@60, and will look craptastic on a fast-motion game like PD2. It's also causing massive encoder lag, though that may also be the immense number of graphic captures you're using.

Yeah, PD2 is my main 'draw' game, so I'm pretty familiar with working with it and getting it to look good. :)

I disabled those. For some reason OBS wasnt picking it up, so I tried making another source, which didnt work so I just used window capture

So what settings should I use exactly?

Delete all of those, or create a new scene.
Run PD2 in fullscreen mode. (NOT windowed mode)
Add a Game Capture (only) and set it to hook PD2 when the game is running and you're alt-tabbed.
Activate preview, alt-tab back into the game. It should show up.

Get the basics running, then add on more later.

Also be aware that sometimes you have to alt-tab out and back in once or twice after the game is loaded... it'll get low performance at first until you do, something about Overkill's initialization code. The new SR patch also added a lot of new bugs too, both on the performance and stability sides.
