Question / Help Frame drops after OBS 18 installed

I just streamed some Rocket League while using the new OBS 18 for the first time and had some pretty bad frame drops (from 60fps, down to 35). I tested this to be an OBS issue by closing OBS to see if the issue persisted and it did not.

I have not changed any settings from the previous OBS version.

I would normally agree with you/try what you are suggesting - I did this on the previous OBS version for several months without issue though.

Any other ideas that won't downgrade my stream quality?
 
To update, I just tested with OBS open and not streaming or recording - and it still gives me the frame drops.
