Question / Help Frame Drop when start stream but not in preview stream

Hi recently got this problem where i would drop a lot of frames and my bitrate will drop to 500-900 ish. This problem only started last week. My max bitrate is 3000 and it seemed to be working until a week ago. However, the funny thing is that when i preview stream, it shows that i have a constant 3000 max bitrate and that im not losing frames but when i am actually streaming my bitrate bar at the bottom right of obs is always red. can anyone plsss helllppp me. i really need help. my viewers cant see anything.

im pretty sure my upload speed is high enough. i got 98mb/s and also when i just preview the stream it is completely fine. no frames dropped what so ever.

Previewing does not stream anything over your network, you can't use it to measure your upload to a certain server. For Twitch, you can append ?bandwidthtest to the end of your stream key to test your bandwidth to one of their ingest servers without the live feed popping up on your channel.

This is a network problem between you and the server you've chosen to stream to, you have to either try other servers or if the problem still persists contact your ISP.

...You add ?bandwidthtest to your stream key, and then you stream. If you drop frames, your connection to the server is not reliable. If you don't drop frames, it is.

oh ok tyvm. do you know why i just got this problem recently though? i have been streaming at 3500 bitrate for no problem for a month already. Last week for some reason bit rate just started failing.

No, it's impossible for me to tell you exactly why this is happening. It's most likely a routing issue somewhere between you and Twitch, and if anyone knows something about it or can fix it, it is your ISP.

so i did what u told me to do, i put ?bandwidthtes in my stream key and started streaming. my bit rate did not drop at all. however, when i actually stream, my bit rate still drops. any idea why?

No, sorry. If it works with ?bandwidthtest appended to your stream key, it should be working when you actually stream as well. I don't know what might be causing this.
