Question / Help Frame Drop recently - Plus OBS crashes when stopping

Hey all, so I've been using OBS pretty flawlessly for about a month, and since the update I've been getting some serious frame drop issues, where the latency bar goes yellow and red, frames are dropped up to 50%. When I click stop stream the program stops responding.
I have checked my internet, it's perfectly fine, 28 down 10 up. Here's a picture that I am doing right now.

I haven't changed any of my settings, they have been the same the entire time.
720p
3500 bitrate
CDR and CBR are enabled
x264 is set for fast

It's basically the exact settings that Twitch recommends.
Computer specs:
i5 3570k @ 4.8
16gb DDR3 @ 1600mhz
MSI Radeon 7970 3gb hd oc

Basically, everything was perfectly fine until the last 2 or 3 days.. I can't seem to figure it out.

ok.. my issue turned out to be because someone was running bittorrent and stealing my bandwidth :) prob solved now.

i've got the exact same issue. was stable and after .57b update i drop frames like mad. i was previously encoding 1080p at 60fps.

My only issue is that it's not crashing, but it's taking forever to encode for whatever reason, and resulting in the dropped frames.

It could be an encoding issue, I'm not sure. All I do know is that my friend who lives 5 minutes from me, same internet provider / package. Same twitch server, etc. works just fine... the crash happens when I stop the stream, the program lags and then locks up. So it leads me to believe that it's an issue with OBS.

Cleared out everything to do with OBS, re-installed. It seems to be good to go now.
