Hello guys,
a few days ago i downloaded obs. Today i tried to record game video (Minecraft and some other). In obs settings i set FullHD and 60 FPS. So, i pressed the record button a started recording. While playing had 50-60 fps, but when i stopped recording and watch the video. I was suprised. The video had only 25 fps. Its not only in Minecraft. I tried World of Warplanes and it did the same thing with the video.

Don't you know where could be the problem?

I tried to record also with Fraps, set also on FullHD and 60fps. Game run smooth on 60fps and video is FullHD and 60fps.

Please, if you can give me good advice, i would be pleased.

Btw. I have notebook Lenovo Y500 with i5-3210M and dual GT650M

your hard drive probably is not fast enough to record at 1080 60 fps. try 29.97 fps. thats what most people record at for youtube because youtube compresses it down to 30 fps so theres literally no reason to record in over 29.97

Well, the hard drive is almost 100% not the issue, as the only thing the hard drive really cares about is the bitrate you set, and even on laptop hard drives you would have to set a really insane bitrate to cause write problems. This seems more like some sort of configuration issue.

Please post a log file, here's how: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=97

Hello,
sorry for renewal contribution, but I have too Lenovo y500, with i5 3210m and dual 650M. My internet speed is here:

I have to stream on quality balance: 6 and bitrate 1500 . Resolution is 1280x720 and FPS 25. When I want stream in higher bitrate, stream is laggy. :( What is problem? :(

You need to open your own thread and include a log file. This thread is hilariously old, and there have been many many changes to OBS since this thread was relevant.
