Question / Help FPS Lag?

So I've been using OBS for a while now and so far I haven't had a single problem with it, I've been streaming LoL in 720p with absolutely no hassle. Last week my motherboard gave up on me, not a problem, I had another one (the exact same model) and installed it with no fuss.

I started running OBS to stream some LoL and as soon as I hit stream I noticed that I had what looked like FPS lag in-game, even though I still had 150-200 fps. It never done this before and I have no idea what's causing it.

Any suggestions?

change the twitch server from global load balancing to something around where you live.
what's your upload speed exactly ?

Also, something strange that has started happening today is that if I drag something across my screen it shows on the software capture screen as well.

An example of this is that I have the champion select screen set on software capture. But if I drag OBS across my screen it will show people it going across the champion select screen as well where as it never used to, it would only ever show the champion select screen no matter what else I was doing

you have to enable a transparent windows theme when doing window capture.

lower the qualiy to 7 if changing twitch server doesn't fix your frame drops connection issue.

I've just noticed on this that it says I only have 4gb of physical memory. I have 16gb ram, why is it only saying 4?

I'm still getting the fps drop guys. It's weird because I never used to get it. As soon as I hit stream, it feels jittery whereas it used to be very very smooth. Any suggestions?

I wish we could solve your issue, but you have to understand this: OBS is using devices and resources. OBS has to share devices and resources with other applications on the system. Every single source you add means more fillrate used by your GPU. That's fillrate that can impact your game, which has to share the same GPU. OBS isn't having any trouble rendering, it's taking only 4ms, it appears to be on the game's side according to what you say. Perhaps lowering the video settings of your game, or lowering the number of sources you use in OBS, I just don't have an answer.

You seem to be using both window capture and game capture. Try removing the window capture first. Then try removing other less important things until you figure out the culrprit.
