When playing TF2, depending on what's going on in the server (player count, map size, etc), I typically get between 250-400 FPS. When streaming, that drops down to 300 max when everything is fine, and 300 is fine itself. The problem is that at frequent, though seemingly random times, my FPS will drop below 100. The lowest I've seen it drop was 40. This doesn't really affect my viewers as I have my stream FPS set to 30, but it definitely affects me as I'm sure you're aware.

Not sure exactly what specs you'll be looking for, but those are the most important ones that I can imagine you wanting to see.
I'm only using OBS to stream. I'm not using dxtory or anything else. I've mainly streamed using game capture, though I've tried window capture. Both pretty much give me the same results. I have aero disabled.
Here are my OBS settings -
encoding: Quality Balance 10 - Max Bitrate 4000 - Buffer Size 4000
video: Resolution 1280x1024 (or 1280x960). No downscaling. Lowered res to 1280x960 to see if it would help and it didn't.
Advanced: Haven't really touched anything here, not sure if I should.
Thanks for the help.
