Question / Help FPS drops while recording Games! Help!

Okay so I have been trying to record game play and every time i try to record CSGO it automatically drops fps to about 45fps in game. but when i stop record it goes back up to 300fps ?!? i have my recording on a different hard drive than the game is running on.

PC Specs
intel 15-4690k
Nividia GTX 950 SSC
8GB Memory
500HDD hard drive
samsung 250GB SSD T3
gigabyte B85M-D3H


all i want is to record "Counter-Strike Global Offensive" in over 60fps

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

Well, OBS is ment for giving you low FPS. It goes through sources and makes your game lag cause of your sources. To have more lag in your stream, but not lag over at your local area. Go to Settings > Video and Edit the "Common FPS Value".

okay so i did set my in game fps to 120fps and it made it even worse. I went to settings and put in the common value and still very laggy :( and low fps. any other suggestions?

Until you post a log, it is a waste of time to even try to guess at what the potential issue(s) could be.
