Hi All,

I'm using OBS to stream to my twitch channel.

I noticed when my friend logged in to watch my stream, the FPS in my game dropped drastically (my actual game, not the stream)..

For Video Encoding I have Use CBR On, Quality Balance 8, Max Bitrate 2200..My audio codec the bitrate is 128

I have the resolution downscale set to 1280x720 at 60fps and aero disabled..

Just wondering if anyone has ideas..thank you!

By how much fps does it drop? And what game is it you are trying to stream? I don't see how upload bitrate has anything to do with computer performance :S

Your friend logging in and watching will have zero impact on your encoding/gaming performance; he isn't downloading anything from you directly, you're sending the same amount of data to the Twitch ingests regardless of if you have zero viewers, or a thousand. This is most likely a coincidental drop, unless he also joined your (locally-hosted) game/started messaging you via Skype/other bandwidth and-or CPU intensive task started occurring.

And again, post a logfile.

Are your friends on the same internet connection as you? Cause that's the only way not mentioned I can think of that could cause this.
