Question / Help FPS drop when opening OBS

Hello, I am trying to find out why I am getting frame drop when playing PUBG. I normally get ~60FPS, opening OBS and doing nothing instantly drops that to ~30FPS. Once I start encoding I stay around 30 FPS. Log is attached from a couple hour stream today, I am running a two PC setup following a guide I saw on youtube :)

Let me know what other information is needed.

Here's the results
Code:
18:42:13.881: Output 'adv_stream': Number of lagged frames due to rendering lag/stalls: 21497 (6.7%)

Basically PUBG is very annoying to stream and/or record with OBS without a capture card. That said, you're running display capture which performs worse than game capture, especially if Aero is on in Windows 7 if that is the OS you're using. Try Game Capture instead and see how that goes. Of course the Radeon HD 7800 series is pretty old to handle a game like this while keeping consistent performance.

Ok will give that a try thank you. I know its an outdated system I just thought 50% FPS drop is a lot.

I just ran some tests. With PUBG and discord open, I sit at ~14% CPU usage, and get 60FPS at the start screen; when I open OBS my CPU usage drops to ~8% and FPS drops to 40.

You're the best, that was the problem. Looks like I'm not having and FPS drop now that I changed that. Any more great advice for optimizing the setup? Or do I need a different post for that ; )

Could I post my other systems log to get advice for both?
