Hi,

I'm a big noob when it comes to stuff like this. Recently i have been having issues with streaming to twitch with obs regarding my fps, i have been dropping frames from 60 to around 40. My gpu isn't the best and i'm wondering if it is because of this? I will be getting a new one soon but was just wondering if it is the gpu or another problem.

These are my specs:

CPU: I7-5820K
GPU: Asus Radeaon HD 5450
Ram: 16GB

Any help would be much appreciated.

Theres a certain point where GPUs are actually too slow even tho you dont lack the ingame Performance e.g. GTX 260 was able to run games at 1080p60 but I couldnt stream a stable 720p30 because the VRAM was simply too slow and since the Radeon HD 5450 is quite old it is most certainly the reason here.

I would suggest trying to stream 720p30 in that case in see if that fixes it.
