Question / Help FPS drop from 140fps to 20fps when streaming or obs open.

Here is the log file from this morning.

When OBS is open and running the fps in game drops dramatically, it happens in every game I try to stream.

System Info

Intel i7 6700k
GTX 1080
32gb Ram
z170a m5 gaming motherboard
2tb HDD
250gb SDD

started at 134 fps, opened obs and it dropped to 22 fps

This shouldn't be happening... You are using the latest version and they already fixed Direct X 9 32bit games from dropping in FPS due to the Windows Creators Update...

Just having the program open makes your FPS drop? That's strange......

Yes immediately when obs is opened the fps drops, when I close it the fps goes back up to normal levels

Was there a solution to this? I've got the same problem. I'm running a three monitor setup and trying to capture only my middle monitor running at 100Hz. As soon as I open OBS the framerate drops to 20fps and locks there...
