Question / Help Formats that enable sound

Hi all,

I've using using OBS for a little while now (and I love it!) and I've just been uploading single clips to YouTube. However, I want to start making videos with multiple clips strung together.

Now, the only video file format I can find which plays the sound is .flv. Unfortunately, I can't find any video editors which support the .flv file format. Does anybody know another file format which plays the sound, or another video editor which supports .flv files please?

Help appreciated.

Windows Media Player sucks, if you were previewing the other video format files with that. It does not support many audio codecs properly, and so 'no audio in recording' is a common complaint when the problem is with the playback software. Download and test your recordings with VLC instead.

By extension, don't use Windows Movie Maker for editing. It has the same codec problem as WMP.
