Question / Help Footage looks very bad

18:15:51.518: video settings reset:
18:15:51.518: base resolution: 1366x768
18:15:51.518: output resolution: 908x512

1366x768 is a troublesome resolution, it causes major distortion to videos because it is not divisible by 4. If you weren't downscaling it would say your Output resolution is 1364x768.

These 2 pixels, which are required to be shaved off in order for chroma subsampling to work correctly, cause the entire output to become distorted.

  1. Set your Base Resolution to 1364x768, type it in if you have to
  2. Right Click your Game Capture Source->Transform->Reset Transform
  3. Right Click it again, Transform->Center to Screen
What this should do is cause the 2 pixels to be shaved off without scaling the image in any way, so when you record it is only scaling the canvas size.

Still looks pretty bad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2gn-HEKZm8&feature=youtu.be

It's sub-720p footage. Not sure what you're expecting? Is there a reason you're recording with options that allow for high quality and large file sizes, but scaling down your frame to this particular size?

You've also got GameDVR on. Do you need it to be on?
