Question / Help Focusrite 2i4, Mic showing up, meter registering sound, nothing on recording?

Hello, not sure what the problem is here. The Focusrite shows up in OBS, the microphone is there, when the mic is on it registers sound by the little meter moving in tandem with the sound.

When i open up the flv file, no sound on it. I even tried changing the output to something other than the Scarlet but it just isn't registering that there is sound on the file.

Hope that works and someone can help me out, I am sure this worked when I first tried OBS yesterday and this morning.

Can I say, I have a Helix running through the Focusrite as well, I record guitar tracks...no problem, can hear them fine.

That is why I know it is the microphone that is an issue, not just sound generally.

Ok, moved the output from the rear of the Focusrite 2i4 to the headphone jack on the front...now it is working. For anyone that has this problem in the future...
