Question / Help FLV recorded footage is choppy

I'm trying to get my computer settings up so that I can start streaming on Twitch and record footage for Youtube Let's Plays. From what I'm seeing from my tests, streaming on Twitch seems to be perfect and ready to go. Unfortunately, recording gameplay footage is where I'm having problems. I've tried everything from recording as FLV format, decreasing the bitrate and the video quality of the games, and still I'm having problems. When the game is doing something simple (sailing in Sid Meier's Pirates, for example) it'll be smooth about 90% of the time, but there are moments where it becomes as bad as a PowerPoint slideshow in my recordings. It also happens more often when the games get more action-y and there's more happening on screen.

My computer specs are as follows:

Video Card: Geforce GX 720
Processor: AMD FX 4300 Quad Core Processor 3.80 GHz
RAM: 8GB
System Type: 64-bit
OS: Microsoft Windows 7
Sound card: NVIDIA High Definition Audio

If there's any possible way to fix this problem, I'd gladly appreciate it. I can even upload an example of what I mean if it would help.

I said link the log. That snippet is missing the critical information for troubleshooting.

Awesome, thanks! My old graphics card was an absolute piece of crap so I bought this one. Guess you get what you pay for. Do you think a Geforce GTX 480 would give me what I need?
