Flickering with Window Capture - dual monitor

Hi,

when I try to capture a chrome window, in full screen mode, opened in a second monitor the window starts flickering. It does not happen if I don't iconize OBS, when I minimize it the video in chrome windows starts flickering. If any other window of the browser is opened in the main screen, the second one works well.

In the main screen, the one of the laptop (Dell XPS 15 9570), both the preview and the recording are fine however, even if the second screen flickers. But when I minimize the program the second screen starts fickering.

The video card is a Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti. The first screen is set at full resolution 4k 60hz, the second screen is set at Full HD, same refresh rate. OBS is set at 60fps. I tried to change both the settings of the monitors and OBS, in terms of fps, refresh rate, resolution but without success.

Before formatting the OS, OBS worked well without issues.

Any suggestion would be warmly appreciated.

Best.
D.

If I downscale the resolution of the the second screen, from 1920x1080 to 1680x1050, or the mouse pointer is on the screen (even if it is set at full hd) everything is fine.

Uninstalling the the Nvidia drivers with DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and reinstalling them did not solve the problem as well as turning the 'harwdare-accellerated gpu' off in WIndows graphic settings.

Game mode in Windows is off, but if I turn it on there is not any difference.

I run OBS as administrator, but the problem persists.

It follows what I see in NVIDIA Inspector:

The strange thing is that even if the capture windows in the second screen fickers the recording is not affected.

Any suggestion is warmly appreciated.

Thank you so much.

Best.

If I try to capture the screen, the second monitor, it works without flickering.
If I try to capture a chrome/browser window, when a streaming is on and it is in full screen mode, for example the webcam of my laptop, I get the flickering.

The problem is clearly related to the full screen mode of the browser window when I try to capture it.

Did anyone experienced a similar issue?

Just tried to connect a different screen and set a higher resolution (4k), but it doesn't change the situation.

If I rotate the screen (90-180°) in Windows settings, while OBS captures the browser windows, it does not flicker.

Another interesting aspect is, if I move a window or just the mouse pointer on the second screen, even when it is flickering, it stops to flicker.

Hi, the same happened to me today. In addition to the captured window occasionally flicker while its image on OBS remained normal, when I put it in the background using alt + tab, it would turn gray on OBS.
Have you found the solution to this issue?
