Hello everyone,
Ever since I've gotten my Logitech C920, it's had extremely annoying issues with flickering within OBS. I have xSplit and it doesn't do it in xSplit. The camera also looks "better" in xSplit, more lively and whatnot. Now, I admittedly don't know much about this stuff so this is just my guess... but I think I could need a better MJPEG codec.
If that's not the issue, does anyone know any fixes for this? Search has kinda come up empty.
I looked at a really old OBS post that talked about this ( https://obsproject.com/forum/threads/getting-the-most-out-of-your-webcam.1036/ ) and I dowloaded that codec and it seemed to make a difference... but it still does it every now and then. Plus it's only 32 bit. I'd like to have 64 as well. Does anyone know where I could get a better codec or is there a well known one that is good? I assumed xSplit is using something proprietary.
This problem has persisted through a windows reinstall and i actually returned my first c920 because of it because I thought it was defective. I'm just unsure why it's apparently just me having this issue... I feel like I must be doing something stupid for it to be doing this.
I don't have any other bandwidth-consuming USB peripherals other than a mic. I've tried different ports.
My Specs are
i7-860
GTX760
Windows 10 Latest update as of this post
Not really sure what else is relevant.
I can record 1080p60 so I don't think it is related to a lack of power. I've also tried plugging the webcam into a laptop with an i7-6700HQ / GTX960M with the same results. I'm puzzled.
