Question / Help Flickering on the laptop screen and recording

Hi everyone or anyone,

I'm trying to digitise the old VHS tapes onto the computer for my parents, but I'm having issues if anyone can assist....

The video is clear on the TV but when its on the laptop screen it flickers and has horizontal lines.

Can anyone assist me on how to fix this?

Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 18363) (18362.19h1_release.190318-1202)
System Model: Inspiron 5770
BIOS: 1.2.5 (type: UEFI)
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz (8 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
Available OS Memory: 8090MB RAM

Well your VHS probably has interlaced recording, where as it's normal for some TV's and such, it's not on your laptop. OBS wasn't really designed to be a video conversion tool.
