Question / Help Fix OBS Frame Skip and Drop

I am using the Elgato Game Capture HD and streaming Ghosts on Xbox 360.
What do I need to change to get better settings?

Your CPU is incredibly underpowered, you will have to downscale to the maximum amount, but that will ruin your quality (considering you are also already on Ultrafast x264 preset). In reality though, I would not expect to do very much streaming at all with that CPU.

Yes, a better CPU is what you need. I don't think you'll be doing any streaming at all with that thing.

What I dont understand is how I can stream with the default Elgato Software smoothly but with OBS, even if its just the video feed, it drops so many frames.

Because with the Elgato software, your computer isn't doing any encoding, just passing the data to the streaming server. All the heavy lifting is done by the onboard encoder of the Elgato.
