Hello,

I just recently started using OBS and I went through the help files and a couple videos on YouTube to set OBS up, however, even after going through trial and error myself adjusting the settings, I couldn't get the "best" overall quality when streaming.

-Problems: Pixelation when moving around
-Game: World of Warcraft

I need help getting the best settings, if possible. I'll post everything that I have.

System:
i7-4770k quad-core @3.50Ghz
GTX 770
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
20mbps download - 2mbps upload

Streaming service: Twitch

Current OBS settings:
-Video Encoding: CBR off| Quality Balance 10 | Max Bitrate 2000 | Buffer Size 2400

-Audio Encoding: Codect AAC | Bitrate 128

-Video: Resolution 1920x1080 | FPS 30 | Disable Aero off

-Advanced: Use Multithreaded optimizations checked | x264 CPU Preset Veryfast | x264 Encoding Profile high | keyframe interval (seconds, 0=auto) 2 | Use CFR checked

Turn CBR on and set your keyframe interval to 2. These are required for Twitch standards compliance.
Downscale to 720p. You do not have the upstream bandwidth available to run a clean 1080p stream, especially not on a high-motion game (as MMOs tend to be).
Run a 6MB test on http://www.testmy.net/upload to get an accurate view of what you have for constant upstream bitrate; speedtest.net is next to worthless for livestreamers.
Be aware that you need to hold back some of your bandwidth for the game's network communication... you cannot use ALL of your upstream for the livestream video. Also be aware that the 'bitrate' setting does NOT take your audio into account as well, which needs to also be a part of that margin. I would suggest going no higher than 1500kbps even IF you are actually getting the full 2mbps your ISP is quoting you.

Cheers!
