First OBS freezes, then audio issues after restart

Audio has almost a rhythmic one second audible occurrence with the audio being heard for only a fraction of a second. This has happened twice in 3 weeks. We use an iMac for streaming. This past week, (10/16/22), OBS actually froze on us. Up until that point, all systems, video & audio were working fine. After a restart of OBS, this audio issue started up when we started streaming. The previous time, we did a warmup for the service and everything was fine. Stopped for and hour break and re-started. Same audio issue. That after noon we did a test and audio worked great.
