Filtering for USB inputs

Hi, my church is using OBS to live stream services. We stream from our soundboard to an all in one mac via a USB input on the mac.

We need a compressor and expander to help with the peaks and lows. i found those in the filters sections. I added them but cannot figure out how to apply them to a USB input.

When i open the source drop down menu, the USB input is not an option.

Can anyone tell me how to do this?

If its not possible, would it be possible for someone at OBS to add this feature?

We also use a USB audio source at our church. When you use OBS studiomode, you need to activate the scene, before you can see the USB audio source in de audio mixer from OBS. After that you can ad the filter.

Ok we werent using studio mode so i turned that on and was able to add the filters but i cant figure out how to active that scene and it doesnt seem like the expander is working.

Any thoughts?
