Question / Help Filter Part of the Display

So I am capturing 2 different parts of my display and I want to make one of the parts a bit transparent but I want to leave the other part untouched. When I add the chroma key filter and change the opacity it changes it for the entire display but I only want it to change one part. How do I do this?

If it's only a specific source you're trying to make transparent, use the color correction filter.

EDIT: That said, you should be using something like KapChat for Twitch chat (if that's your actual goal) which has built-in transparency options when you configure it.

Yeah.. don't use display capture. That's the worst possible way you could be doing this. Use Game Capture for your games, and then Window Capture for the apps. If you're trying to capture the chat in a web page, use Browser Source and add the chat URL there instead.

oh i didn't explain it but what I am doing is recording stream highlights for a friend for his youtube. so I am recording from his vods and I want to have the gameplay full screen with the chat a little bit transparent over it like in the first pic i posted.
