Not sure if this would be overly possible with how OBS is set up, but would it be possible to add a rotate 'zone' when editing an asset? Just a handle sticking out at a diagonal from the corner-scale box, but allowing an item to be spun to whatever orientation is desired. Editing a logo and giving it a cant, turning a webcam to pop out from the side of the screen (instead of flipping vert+horiz to drop down from the top).
Let one of the usual modifier keys keep it from snapping to 45-degree angles (as with snap-to-edge movement or the non-AR rescale) but default to them (also allowing you to pop your cam in from the corner)
May not be worth the coding effort, and fixing the 0.522b relative-crop bug would probably take priority (and probably should be stomped first) but it's a semi-obvious missing feature at the moment. :)
