Feature or Plugin ideas: Microscope functions

OBS is great with the cheap USB microscopes you can get on Amazon. I can look at stuff and even show clients during video meetings. But two functions could take it a step farther.

1) Digital zoom while live. You can currently can switch back and forth between streams with fixed re-scaled video. It works, but tough to get the scale just right. This would be handy for microscopes and regular video recording/streaming. Quality will obviously take a hit, but it serves a useful purpose.

2) Image stacking. With resized cheap microscope video of a stationary object, the visual noise (not audio) is pretty obvious. Astronomers came up with image stacking to both deal with the noise and (sorta) increase resolution. For a microscope, it would be as "simple" as time weighted averaging of consecutive recent video frames (for example, the last 20 frames). The averaging would allow the signal to noise ratio to improve proportional to the number of frames. For regular video recording/streaming, it would make an interesting motion blur effect.

I put "simple" in quotation marks because it seems simpler than a lot of video magic, but still beyond my capability. A even more advanced version of stacking auto-aligns upscaled video frames to generate higher resolution images than the actual sensor. This might not be needed for a microscope with a static object. But for people using the zoom function of their camera, it would be really cool.
