Hello All,

More or less out of nowhere I started getting this error. I've troubleshot a bunch of things including NVIDIA driver updates, windows updates, OBS updates, internet connections, etc. and I can't get this to work anymore. My last stream was on Saturday night and everything was fine. Any ideas?

Log file is attached. Some errors will pop up in it related to missing files/other scenes/etc. But I can't find anything glaring?

Like I said, I haven't changed anything. Just doesn't work now. Thanks in advance....

EDIT: Forgot to mention, I am streaming to YouTube. But I feel like that doesn't matter here.

Update as well. When I use "Simple" for my Output Mode settings it works, but when I go back to "Advanced" (which is what I've been using), it no longer works again.

I figured it out! Feel free to lock the thread.

The issue was a specific audio encoder was making OBS crash. I had uninstalled iTunes the other day. After doing that, OBS switched to a different audio encoder (FFmpeg AAC = BAD!!!!) and when I reinstalled iTunes, it switched to CoreAudio AAC = GOOD!

It works now. Hope this helps someone else.

So I am having the exact same issue, I'm not an iTunes user however I installed it in the hopes it would fix the issue. Seems like this fix only works if you're using Mac as even after installing iTunes I don't have the "CoreAudio AAC" option. Also in advanced mode for Audio Encoder (on the streaming tab) I only have one option, which is the bad "FFmpeg AAC". Not sure how/if this can be changed but I'm out of options for troubleshooting.

OBS is in Admin.
Adjusting output resolution down
Updated drivers
Reinstalled/updated OBS
*throws hands up...and cries*

On Ubuntu 22.04 (And likely other versions)
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-restricted-extras
This will prompt to accept the EULA
This will also prompt to allow install (accept rights)
Once you do this, it solves the issue on Ubuntu
