I've been trying to set up obs studio for around 3 hours now, and I continue to get the following error:

Failed to start recording
Starting the output failed. Please check the log for details.

NOTE: If you are using the NVENC or AMD encoders, make sure your video drivers are up to date.

I am using an NVENC encoder, but the driver is up to date, and yet I continue to get this issue. If anyone could help me solve this, that'd be greatly appreciated.

According to the log there's an issue with you using NVENC. Either your GPU doesn't support it, or you need to update your NVidia and/or Intel GPU drivers.

My GPU has always supported it, and both GPU drivers are up to date.

The 940M doesn't support NVENC. You will need a 950M or better for NVENC.

I'm having the same issues but my drivers are up to date. It only happens when I try to record, I have two profiles one for streaming and one for recording. When I switch the the recording one and hit record I get the error. If I try and switch back to the stream profile it also will stop working at that point. However I'm using x264 codex
