Failed to start recording - Nvidia NVENC AV1 OBS 29.0.2

Hello,

I am having an issue while trying to record with NVENC AV1 encoding on a 4090 and the 29.0.2 OBS build. The log file is attached.

What I already tried:
- Clean re install of drivers (using DDU)
- Clean reinstall of OBS - deleting all settings and scenes etc.

Recording with NVENC HEVC is working just fine. Does anyone know a work around?

The log only shows you opening OBS, you need to reproduce the problem before uploading a log.

The problem then does not seem to create log entries. I tried recording a couple times with each log looking the same. Nonetheless for the following log I did the following:
-Start OBS
- Try to start recording with AV1 (Error)
- Go to settings and change encoder to HEVC
- Record some seconds
- Go to settings and change back to AV1
- Try to record (Error)
- Close OBS

If in this log nothing relevant is written, then I really don't know how to provide the necessary information.

Try disabling rescaling on the Recording Output.

That worked thank you! Now the question is: how do I get 1080p recordings without using the rescaling option under "recording"?
