Question / Help Failed to Start - Newbie looking for Help Please

I have just started to use Linux for the first time and decided to install OBS Studio so I can crop some youtube Judge Judy episodes , I think ive finally managed to sort out the cropping of the video part , but when I go to record I now get this warning.........

Failed to start recording

Starting the output failed . please check the log for details.

Note : if you are using the NVENC or AMD encoders , make sure your video drivers are up to date.


I have tried to understand what to do next but I'm having a problem , can any one please point me in the right direction so I can record a cropped video .
