"Failed to open NVENC codec: Function not implented" issue, pls help

hi
im not a massive cmputer guy so i have no clue what is happening.
im trying to record my screen for a school project, however, when i give it a scene to record and press start recording it says "Failed to open NVENC codec: Function not implented: make sure your drivers are up to date."
i have no singular clue what this system is asking of me.
please try and explain this, maybe a tutorial would be nice

Update your GPU driver. Of course, this helps if your nvidia GPU supports NVENC codec.

all my drivers are up to date so idk lol, thank you tho :)

Please post a log with your issue! Here's how...

OBS Studio creates a log file each time you run it which contains very useful diagnostic information. Without a log file, it's much harder for any support volunteers to figure out problems and your post may be ignored. To upload a log file, go to the Help menu > Log Files > Upload Last Log...
