Failed to find locale/en-US.ini

OBS starts and records just fine, but when I try to play one of the recordings I am getting this error.
I have a shortcut icon on my desktop to OBS that I've been using to start it and record.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Wrong file association in the OS. Details:

Question / Help - Missing locale/en-US.ini

I downloaded the latest release of the multiplatform Windows version and when I try both 32-bit and 64-bit I get an error that says it cannot find locale/en-US.ini and then it closes.

The message you see by clicking the media file in the "File Explorer" of Windows is result of your actions - you mistakenly clicked "open with OBS" and forgot to make unchecked the option that makes it default action. So, Windows (the OS you are using) remembered this action and now each time attempts to open media file with OBS. OBS is not a media player, so it is not designed to "open" the media files. Instead you need media player like: VLC Player, mpv player. To get rid of the mentioned error message you need to open (via the right-click menu) your media file in the "File Explorer" of Windows and select new application (NOT OBS !) to opened the media file - it can be VLC Player or mpv player. And look carefully for the set check-boxes that are saying that your action will become default.
