Hi. I tried my first live stream on FB today. The video pixlilated badly. I was told that it failed to connect to any servers. I did manage to live stream, just, badly.
So I downloaded OBS for windows. When setting up via the Auto wizzard. The same message occurred, failed to connect to any servers. I have googled what to do and have tried as much as I can. I know my internet is fine, as I was on my own with no one else to use any band width. I have fast fibre. Checked download speed and it was 52.48Mbs Upload 25.6Mbs. I read also not to stream on wireless. I must admit, I would not know what to plug into to become non wireless. My router is only 6 feet away from where the laptop was. Thanks if you can help. I see it states to include a log file. But, when I looked at it, I was not sure what was relevant in it and was worried I may share something I should not...yup, you guessed it...I am new to all this and feel like I am learning Japanese!

There's a pinned topic at the top of the forum with instructions on how to get your logfile; I'm hoping that they'll add a little click-through next to that when creating a new thread, as it can be confusing for new users. :)

Essentially, to go to a wired connection, you plug a network cable into your laptop, and the other end into the modem/router. The port looks like an extra-large oldschool phone jack. If you don't have one (your modem/router probably did come with one) look up a Cat5e network cable. They're pretty cheap, and what a vast majority of people use as their network cables, and can go up to about 300 feet long.
