Question / Help Facebook live - no sounds channels problem - Numark Mixtrack pro 3

Hi

I'm having a problem streaming live through facebook via OBS, specifically with sound.

I have a DJ controller, a numark mixtrack pro 3. It's connected to my computer via USB , and my speakers via RCA cables. It's a two channel mixer - so when the volume is up full on both decks you can hear both, but if it's down on one you can only hear one, although you can hear deck 2 through headphones attached to the deck if you choose. I'm having a problem streaming on facebook live.

I've recorded a couple of test videos and listened back, and the problem is the volume on the second deck. Even if the volume fader is all the way down on the second deck, you can still hear it full on facebook live - even though it's not coming out of my speakers, and doesn't show when I record the video via OBS. I've tried adjusting the volume settings in various ways but can't solve it. If you adjust sound using the EQ's and filters, facebook live picks it up. Any ideas - it's really annoying as you can't do a DJ set if you have to listen to me beatmatching, live at full volume, instead of me just hearing it in the headphones.

Summary: Dj controller, sound from a live deck with the volume fader all the way down still plays as if the volume fader is up full when i stream on facebooj live via obs.

Hi - I have the exact same issue and was hoping to find the solution here. I thought it worth pointing out that this issue seems to occur when the headphone input is selected on the controller itself (on either deck). If the headphone input is not selected then the volume faders do work on each deck so its really about how do to separate the headphone channels from the master in OBS. I tried the advance settings in OBS controllers but no joy and I'd still be interested to see if anyone can help with this

I did however find a work around changing settings in the DJ software that allows steaming without this issue. I'm using Virtual DJ and I was able to change the audio settings so that the master audio comes via the mixtrack Pro and the headphone audio comes via the laptop sound card and then I just plug in my headphones directly into the laptop itself and this seems to work exactly as it would if the headphones were plugged into the controller. Its worth giving that a go.

I've had the same issue. It picks up every sound in cue. I managed to use the mixtrack pro 3 rca outputs into a external soundcard (sound blaster). Change the obs audio settings to the external soundcare and you should be good to go.
