Alright i know this is a little crazy but i use to be able to stream/record with OBS in 5760x1080 and now i cant do that at all not sure what has changed but the max i can do is 4096x1080. OBS does not let me keep the 5760x1080. If anyone knows a way to get that back it would be great. i have tried to reinstall of an old version and it still doesn't work.

I will try anything because i need it for recording. So please tell me if i'm doing something wrong.

Thank you

Were you downscaling? h264 doesn't support widths wider than 4096, so it's impossible that you were recording at full resolution before.

YOU SIR, are right i am wrong and after looking over my videos that i have for work it does miss a little on the way right and the way left i guess i never really saw this because i never had anything go that fair over to be cut off. I am sorry that i wasted your time with this stupid question but thank you again. One more thing thanks for making OBS great.

Thanks for helping

There does appear to be some technical limitations to the width/height, especially when flash is involved. I generally wouldn't recommend doing such a stream, it would require a huge amount of resources unless downscaled significantly.

Hey jim, What if I play to play in my 5760x1080 but only want to stream my 1080p on my main center monitor?

You should be able to set it up to do that. That should work as long as you set up the capture correctly. You'll have to probably type in the resolution manually though.

Hey Jim, Thanks for the reply. I cant seem to figure it out and I've spent most of today trying to. I can get it to stream but its offset to the left of my screen if obs would at least center on the middle of my res that would be perfect as its stands right now from the far left it goes to the right just past my health bar which is the end of my center monitor and almost complete skips the thrid monitor. I need it so its centers on the middle monitor so it gets an equal proportion on either side.

What I meant was set the base resolution to 1920x1080 in video settings (not downscale). You may have to use window capture, and may have to use subregion in window capture. Not entirely sure otherwise. I can't really help with this too easily remotely unfortunately.
