External Monitor question

Hi, you all have been very helpful in me getting things setup. I have another question. I have OBS set to play a video on an external display. its a 2nd monitor basically. that monitor powers off each night but OBS keeps running since I have automations to start a show on that 2nd display. I know windows shows the display as disconnected when it powers off, when it powers back on will OBS work right, or would I need to set the display each and every time I power the display back on?

I don't follow
Why do you leave OBS Studio running when it is not in use? If OBS Studio running, open to a Scene Collection that has that 2nd display as Output, and you disconnect that Display, I'm suspecting Operating System Driver and other variables/settings could come into play (just guessing, not an OBS Studio programmer)

What happens now when you try it? and whatever is happening, with Operating System and driver changes, I wouldn't be surprised if the OBS Studio behavior changes over time.
If you must (and I wouldn't) keep OBS Studio running when you disconnect a Source like that, I'd at least be inclined to change to a Scene Collection that does NOT have that display output as a Source/Output, then switch Scene Collection when ready? but that is just 'thinking aloud'
