Question / Help External audio coming in audio interface not routing in OBS. Mac Pro, Yosemite

Hi there,

I’m running OBS on a Mac Pro and I’d like to stream DJ sets.

I’m using a controller with build in sound cart and a separate booth output. That output I’m sending to one of the inputs on my audio interface (a Motu Ultralite mk3 Hybrid).

I can see the audio coming in, in the “Input” tab of the “Sounds” System Preferences of my Mac so everything’s ok there.

In the Settings of OBS I can select “Motu Ultralite mk3 Hybrid” in “Mic/Auxlliary Audio Device” but it does not result in the audio being routed to “Mic/Aux”.

The audio indicator above the volume slider in “Mic/Aux” does not move and I tried recording a video but it did not have any sound

Am I overlooking something here?

I’m running OSX Yosemite on a Mac Pro (Late 2013)

Thanks!

Ik spend more time on finding a solution in these forums and experimenting with (I think) every possible setting. The only option I have left is assuming it just doesn't work. Lucky for me I also have a Windows PC with a line-in. Routing thru that seems to work very nicely.

If you don't mind doing your set on the computer AND supposing it is sound only, you could also try Mixxx. It can stream/record audio directly from the computer. See:

http://mixxx.org/

Works very well.

I found the solution. Somehow, this option got unchecked. Gremlins in the system.
