If you're still having issues with dropped frames and you're using the latest version, please stop by the live chat (you can get there with the link at the top right) if you're interested in trying out an experimental build that should hopefully resolve this.
 
I prefer talking with those experiencing the issue to verify it's not some other setting first, drop by the IRC if you have time.
