Every scene open mc?

My Mic is open on EVERY scene, whether or not I include the Mic in the scene or not.

Is this normal?

I have an "empty" scene with NO sources, and my Mic is still open... It's my USB Mic, defined as an input source with all of the effect filters active. It doesn't show up in the Mixer, but it's clearly running through OBS even when it's not defined as being in the scene.

Take a look at Settings/Audio/ Global Audio Devices. I expect you have it on there. Disable all those inputs, and enable inputs as needed in each scene.

Is it open in the stream, or locally? Go to Advanced Audio Properties, uncheck Active Sources Only if you don't see it, and make sure the input is set to Monitor Off.

Mac OBS is bugged, Monitored sources are always hot. The new Audio Monitor plug-in is the answer.
That makes sense. I've installed the Audio Monitor and see if I can do something intelligent with it. I'm setting this up for a singer to stream, and when she goes on a break and changes the scene, I don't want the mic hot for sure.

If your goal is to monitor what you're sending out, don't insert the plug-in anywhere. Pull out its control panel. You can monitor the output from there.
