Bug Report EVERY CLIP I RECORD CORRUPTS

So basically, title explains most of this thread. Every single clip I attempt to record corrupts. I just says: "Stopping Recording" and then it wont ever stop. I then try exiting OBS, and then I try re-opening it, and it says application still running. (but its closed!!) Then I go to my task manager and see it using 40% of my GPU while "stopping recording"!! is there anyway I can fix this? its been doing this lately and im not sure why.

the PCI Express slot is the slot that you plug your graphics card into. Basically if your primary monitor is connected to the port closest to that slot, you may have issues with corrupt recordings as described in the video I linked.

To fix this issue, plug your primary monitor into any port that is NOT the closest one, and it should be resolved.

Good to know as it is infact in the graphics card. Would it have to be in a spicific slot or just any besides he graphics card? Can my secondary monitor be plugged into it
 
All of your monitors can be plugged into the primary graphics card, the issue is just that your primary monitor cannot be plugged into the video output that is closest to the slot (basically the output that is most toward the back of the case). As long as your PRIMARY monitor is not plugged into that output, you should be fine in any other configuration. Your secondary monitor can be plugged into any output, including the closest one. It is just the primary monitor that cannot be plugged into the closest output to the PCI express slot.

excuse me for my stupidity, but how would I tell which monitor is my primary?
 
Go into your windows display settings, where it shows all the monitors you have connected. On windows 10, you can just right click your desktop and click "display settings". Then, click on the labelled monitor objects (1, 2, 3, 4, etc) and scroll down. There is a box that says "make this my main display." The monitor that is your primary monitor will have this box checked. All the other ones will have it unchecked.
 
I simply just tried switching my primary to my secondary and my secondary to my primary and that didn’t work... was it supposed to work like that l? I moved my gameplay as well as a test and all

i switched it and all. it still doesn't seem to work. I can only record in 120 fps, not 240, which my computer is fully capable of. it used to work perfectly fine... do you know why this is?

it hasn't worked even after I switched it. Any other suggestions?
