Question / Help every 3 seconds game skips frame

so i have never really had a problem with obs until now when I open obs and look at the screen every 3 seconds or so the screen freezes then comes back like nothing happened then does it again. webcam works perfectly fine and playing games on the pc works fine as well. just using the elgato part of it doesnt work but when i open it up in elgato it works perfectly fine. the game has no lag when i play it so its not the elgato part of it

fix : found out it was the buffering setting was set to auto once i disabled it i had no more problems. hope this helps out anyone who has this problem
