Question / Help Errors running Nvidia GeForce GT 335M

I'm getting the "Could not initialize DirectX 10" error.

A screen cap of my system is attached.

DirectX 11 is installed.
Any advice?

I found a solution shortly after posting this. It's not what I expected. I'll gather the details and post it.
