Question / Help Error parsing X file

Well where to start been troubleshooting this error all day, less then 24 hours ago OBS was working just fine and when I went to start it earlier today I kept getting the "Error parsing X file" error from file C:\Users\yourname\AppData\Roaming\OBS\scenes.xconfig which has never been there to begin with (so it's hard to just remove that one file). I found another thread with info about this problem and did what was said to uninstall and re-install a fresh OBS 32-bit (for CLR browsing) even system restored to a few days ago with no luck. I would have posted in that thread and not started a new one but reply's were disabled for me, so I'm starting this one. The error just is not allowing OBS to even open or be installed, please if anyone can help out there I would really appreciate it. Thanks

This is technically a bug because of the fact that instead of the program recovering from file corruption it just exits. We should probably fix that in the future. Anyway, here's the steps to fix:
1.) Close OBS.
2.) Press Windows Key + R.
3.) Paste in: %appdata%\obs
4.) Delete scenes.xconfig (you will lose your scenes but it'll fix the issue)
5.) Restart OBS, and it should come up.

Jim, I sincerely appreciate your time and knowledge in this bug fix! I was about to tear my hair out yesterday and now everything seems to be working perfectly. Making the scenes again is a little painful but keeps me savvy in this amazing program. Open source for life. Thanks again! :D :D
