Question / Help Error message when trying to stream (used to work)

Hi everyone,

First and foremost thanks a lot for bringing your software to linux. it is greatly appreciated.

I installed OBS a few days ago (Fedora linux). I got it working without too much difficulty. I then made a new account and had to re-enter the stream key (obtained from dashboard and triple checked to be the correct one).

It then proceeded to give me the following error;

"Could not access the specified channel or stream key. This could be because the key/channel is invalid, or because the server still thinks you are logged in."

I have tried other twitch accounts with other stream keys with no success. Also, it has been several days now and I am still unable to stream.

Any ideas?

Twitch expired everyone's passwords and stream keys due to a security breach. You will need to go to Twitch, reset your password, and get your new stream key from the dashboard: http://www.twitch.tv/broadcast/dashboard/streamkey More info here: http://blog.twitch.tv/2015/03/important-notice-about-your-twitch-account/

changing the password and entering another stream key has not resolved my problem.

This isn't an issue with the program. Either the stream key was incorrectly entered or twitch is not letting you log on.
