We have identified the issue and it should be resolved in the next hotfix. For now it's best to set preferred family to IPv4 instead of binding to a specific IP, otherwise you risk things breaking should your local IP change.
still getting this error, and im past the 30.2.3, running 31.0.1 now.
have ran that IPv6 test and it says i only have IPv4
Tried using ip family IPv4 and IPv6 without binding, then tried binding to a specific ip.
[because there are 2 to select from, one i know, and one i ahve no idea what it is, looks like a bitcoin address, 20 character string with :'s in blocks of 4, do i have a virus or something? im somewhat of a computer newb]
anyways, that doesnt work either, connection eventually still drops
not having issues with any other programs or connections
i am on wifi btw, thanks for any help

Do you have working IPv6 connectivity? Try https://test-ipv6.com/

This should be resolved in 30.2.3.
Have the same error since I updated OBS to the latest version (that was like 1 Month ago). Never had a problem before (and I was streaming since Dec. 2023 and never updated OBS, which is probably why I never encountered this issue earlier), have tried everything suggested in here, nothing worked.

The only working workaround for me was to use a vpn, but that is not the solution. Is there a way to download an older version of OBS until it gets fixed?

Closing this thread as the specific issue discussed (IPv6 happy eyeballs fallback timeouts) has been fixed. If you're encountering the error still, it has a different cause and you should start your own thread.
