Question / Help Encoding with AVerMedia

The quality that I get from REcentral is amazing. If I were to use those settings on OBS i'd lag really bad..internet wise. I'm not sure how I don't lag using the RECentral, but when will OBS allow AverMedia to do all the encoding and use OBS as a control panel? The reason why I don't like using RECentral is because it doesn't allow a stream delay...which is why i'm asking this because OBS supports the delays. thanks guys

Eventually, maybe? It really is an inferior option to x264, so unless you have a weak/old CPU that can't keep up, it's generally a better idea not to use the hardware encoder if you can avoid it.

If you have a Sandy Bridge or later Intel with a supported motherboard, you can use QuickSync as a hardware encoder.

If I can -ever- get time I may try implementing it in the future, but generally you have to use a much higher bitrate with it to compensate for the encoder quality. Generally wouldn't recommend it for streaming either.
