1. Run CPU-z and make sure your system memory is running in dual channel mode.
2. Make sure you have the latest BIOS installed.
3. Run GPU-z and make sure that your GPU is running in at least a 8x slot. If not change it to such a slot.

Side tip: 8-core Ryzen's can quickly become memory bound, so to get best performance out them you should get the memory speed as high as possible, even if that means you increase the various memory options latency greatly.

Hi, I happen to have the exact same problem on OBS Studio whereas it worked perfectly fine untile 4 days ago... I didnt change anything in my Conf :(.

And now Each time I select the game Im streaming (using game capture) my OBS instantly display the Encoding Overload warning with sometimes 70% dropped frame , sometimes 0% but the stream still drop as hell...

Why is this happening :( ? Can someone help me I just saw the message from Osiris, could it be an Avast recent update ?
I've attached the log file for more info.

Thanks for the helps guys ...Logfile : https://gist.github.com/c78020e672553e26a47a163fe72c2416

Had the same Problem from one day to the next.

If you are running on Win10 update to the latest version - an update on 09.05. fucked up my CPU, everything NOT in the foreground got throttled, meaning once you hit "start streaming" and tab back into the game your OBS wont have any CPU resources, which obviously fucks up your encoder.
Latest Win10 update fixed that for me - have Win10 Pro, because of deferred updates I had to manually install the Creators Update.
Everything working again.
