Max performance, Psycho Visual Tuning, and Look Ahead are all new features that were introduced with version 23, which only released last month. There's no possible way you were using those options before then with the old Nvenc encoder.

Who are you talking to?

You.
Its not just RTX, i have a GTX 1080 and have been using nvenc with max performance , psycho-visual and look ahead on 720p 60fps @ 5500 bitrate with no problems what so ever for months until yesterday!! I would get encoder overloading errors and the stream would go down to like 20fps or lower.

I have no idea what the issue is, so i used slobs and that would disconnect the stream but not say anything as if it was all fine, but i wasnt actually streaming lol.

I did just upgrade OBS to 23.1 But that dors not explain slobs crashing also.
Its sooooo annoying!

Lol ok, i meant since it came out.
I was not talking about using old nvenc at all.
I have been using new nvenc since 23.0 rc1.

Anyways the problems still persist.
I get encoder overloading on my gtx 1080 with 23.1 with or without all the new settings on.
23.0.2 and below work fine.
It must be a 23.1 issue for me.

I'm having this issue with recording cod mw i tried many things and can't seem to figure out whats causing the encoder overload....My RTX 2060 shouldn't have any issues with recording 1080p60fps...I tried asking in discord and one of the mods there said use simple mode thought that was a cookie cutter response anyone have any advice other then that?

Set the game graphics / limit FPS so that the load of the game + stream / record does not exceed 90%. It looks in the task manager.

Create a new Profile and try the 'cookie cutter' response. It's the go-to response because it fixes the problem 99% of the time.

Simple mode is not a "dumbed down" or "minimal quality" mode. In fact, it's the culmination of years of experience and tuning of encoding parameters. So try these settings, they include the the most optimized encoder settings (in background, not visible in the GUI) you can get.

IDK if anyone has tried this but I reinstalled the latest Nvidia drivers and the Encoder overload went away
